Connectivity Management 5.20160808 Known Issues
This section lists the known issues in this release of Connectivity Management.
The known issues are:
- The EUI for LoRa® devices is not displaying.
- LoRa® data graphing issues.
- The APN settings for EE 4G SIMs is displaying incorrectly.
- Bulk action limitations.
- Bulk activation issue when using the Inventory page.
- Orange Eclipse SIMs bulk activation issue.
- Table filtering is not working.
- Device report filter is not working when exporting to Excel.
- The last date at which a device connected is not displaying correctly in device reports.
EUI ID for LoRaWAN™ Devices is Not Displaying
Issue
Due to a known issue, the EUI for LoRa® devices is not being displayed on the Device Details page.
Solution
Note that a LoRa® device’s EUI number matches the device number, as a result the EUI number can be inferred from the device number.
The device number can be viewed in the Device Details panel on the device’s Device Details page.
LoRa® Data Graphing Issues
Issue
Graphing information for LoRa® applications is not being displayed.
Solution
This issue is currently being worked on and will be resolved in a future release.
To avoid encountering this issue, Connectivity Management recommend that when the LoRa® application is created, all hexadecimal values that are associated with with the application are entered in lower case characters.
This includes values such as:
- The Application Identifier (AppEUI).
- The Device EUI of all devices that are added to the application.
- The Device Address of all devices that are added to the application.
- The Application Session Key of all devices that are added to the application.
- The Network Session Key of all devices that are added to the application.
APN Settings for EE 4G SIMs Displaying Incorrectly
Issue
Due to a known issue, the APN settings for EE 4G SIMs are not being displayed correctly within the platform.
Solution
This issue is being worked on and will be fixed in the next release.
In the meantime, please use the following settings:

Bulk Action Limitations
Issue
Due to a known issue, the ability to:
- Assign metadata to devices in bulk has been temporarily disabled.
- Bar and unbar devices in bulk has been temporarily disabled.
Solution
These capabilities will be re-enabled in a future release.
It is still possible to perform these actions on devices on an individual basis:
- Metadata can be assigned to devices on an individual basis via the Metadata tab on a device's Device Information Page.
- Devices can be barred or unbarred on an individual basis via the Devices Details tab on a device's Device Information Page.
Inventory Page Bulk Activation Issue
Issue
It is not possible to bulk activate more than 100 SIMs at a time using the Inventory section.
The following screenshot highlights the page that this issue affects.
Solution
To bulk activate more than 100 SIMs, please use the platform's bulk activation functionality, available via the Activate>Bulk Activate page.
Please refer to the User Guide for further information on using this functionality.
Orange Eclipse SIMs Bulk Activation Issue
Issue
Orange Eclipse SIMs cannot be activated in bulk.
Solution
This issue is being worked on and will be fixed in the next release.
Table Filtering is Not Working
Issue
Filtering is not working when viewing results in a table.
Solution
Please note that this issue only affects customers who have held an account with Connectivity Management since before 2014.
This issue is being worked on and will be fixed in the next release.
Device Report Filter is Not Working for Excel Exports
Issue
If you have requested an Excel version of a device report, using the Statistics>Device Report screen, the filters that you have selected will not be carried over into the exported spreadsheet.
The following screenshot highlights the page that this issues affects.
Solution
A custom device report can be viewed in the application by following the instructions in the User Guide.
Please note that it is still possible to download an Excel version of a device report, however the report will not be filtered.
Last Connected Date is Not Displaying in Device Reports
Issue
When viewing a device report directly in Connectivity Management, using the Statistics>Device Report screen, the last date at which a device connected is not displaying correctly.
The following screenshot highlights the page that this issues affects.
Solution
This issue will be resolved in a future release.
It is possible to view the last date at which a device connected to the network by exporting an Excel version of the device report.
Please refer to the User Guide for more information on generating an Excel version of a device report.
